Real estate license while investing in Texas

I have been considering getting my Texas real estate license for a few months now. Unfortunately, I keep hearing that it’s dangerous to do so if I intend to also invest in Texas. I have been warned by at least two people now that I could be sued since I would be considered an expert. Has anyone also heard this before?

I have been a Agent/Broker flipping houses for close to 30 years. Of course you have to disclose you are an agent but that is required in every state. The advantages such as being able to collect commissions on your purchase, access to the MLS and control over the offers you make far out way the disclosures

@Abel Curiel  Next time you are in the area you need to try other BBQ places as Salt Lick is very pedestrian BBQ for us.  Cooper's and Franklin are much better options !
