Buying 1st door out of state, how to go about getting an LLC?

Hey all,

I'm looking at buying my 1st door out of state where I live. I'm a little lost in terms of how to go about setting up the LLC? Do I create a foreign LLC through my local state page, or do I need to create one in the state where the property will be?

My plan given this will be a financed deal is that the mortgage will be in my name, and the LLC will cover the rental aspect to prevent personal liability.

Looking forward to the adventure!
