Adding/Removing Limited Partners from LP in California

Does anyone know if any formal paperwork needs to be filed to add/remove a limited partner from an LP?

I am familiar with the LP-2 form, but this seems to only apply for the addition/removal of general partners.

I've seen simple joinder agreements created but I'm not sure if anything has to be filed with the state.
