GC dispute in DC - need to run contract by lawyer

Hello BP,

Does anyone recommend a RE investor friendly lawyer in DC for a GC conflict? GC committed to installing an egress window including masonry work. A few weeks later the sub the GC planned on using for the masonry work was no longer available. GC looked for another sub and the new sub provided an expensive quote to the GC to do the job. The GC wanted to amend the contract to just installing the window and asked I deal with the masonry. I declined and suggested to the GC if they can’t deliver on the original contract that we should end the contract and I get my refund. The GC is refusing. I need a lawyer to look over the original contract.

Thank you

T
