How condos and billing works
Hello everyone,
I'm in an odd situation. I'm buying a condo in a building in a lower end part of a city near me as an investment property. I began inquiring about the condo below me because it's empty and has been awhile. The further I chased the rabbit down the hole the more things are pointing to the whole street being parceled and each home/apartment being a condo.
That being said, apparently there is only one water meter for the whole street. They've all been neglected and I'm told there's a chance there is a $20k water bill attached to the street and I wont get a clear deed/title (maybe).
Apparently a condo agency was supposed to be collecting money and wasnt. There is no condo agency known to. Each property is individually owned per the county records.
Where do I go from here? The city shows that no water bill is due on the apartment below mine
