I'm concerned about the legitimacy of a quit claim deed

The description on the quit claim deed doesn't match the information on that's in county records. Well, its the same information but the county records provides more information, it seems more detailed. Is this because the information could have been updated since the quit claim deed was done such as add-ons. I was told that as long as the quit claim deed is recorded in the county records it was legit. I'm a little lost and need help.
