Where can I find a good Real Estate Lawyer in Rhode Island?

Hi BP Community,

I’m looking for a good Real Estate Lawyer and Accountant in Rhode Island. Preferably with experience on Investing. Any input will be appreciated.

@Rose Marie I can recommend a few. You can also ask around local investment groups like RIREIG or Black Diamond REI. (Black Diamond is Mass-based but many good attorneys and CPAs are licensed in both states.)

If you'd rather not ask around in those groups, you could go to their websites and at least see which lawyers or accountants have spoken at them in the last few years, and then do some more research from there (e.g., look up their bios on their firms' websites).

If you want to branch out beyond those options, an old trick I'm fond of is seeing which local lawyers/accountants teach continuing education topics to other lawyers or accountants.

One would expect they'd be experts in whatever topics they're teaching. It takes a bit of Googling, such as "attorney continuing education rhode island" but if you're after the "best of the best" that's one very good strategy IMO. Though you'd expect they would also be commensurately expensive, of course.
