LLC in which state for out of state investor

For tax purposes, is it better to open an LLC in the state I'm investing in (Florida) or the state I live in (California)? I'm finding some lenders want an LLC to lend to.

Is there any benefit to my liability to have an LLC in my investing state vs my home state?

Thanks so much in advance,

Brian
