2019 BP Conference Tax Deduction Question

Larry Middleton
Posted

Was considering going to the 2019 BP Conference.  I own a couple rentals and was wondering if the travel and conference expenses are tax deductible as an educational expense?   It wont make or break the decision, but would easier to convince my wife with it being a deduction :)  Thanks!

@Larry Middleton I agree with @Lance Lvovsky - I would deduct the conference, as well, assuming you're already in business. The deductibility of travel would depend on the details of the trip as a whole.
