Self Employment Tax On Rental Property Income-HELP 1 Day Left

I have a two member LLC that owns a small apartment building. We file Forms1065 and 8825. Don't file Sch. E, it isn't necessary when you file 8825.

The income from rent shows up on Line 17, Form 1040.

Since the income is only from rental of apartments is it necessary to also file
Sch. SE and get hit for self employment tax as well?

Mac McAtee,

I hope you are not preparing the return by hand. Always e-file when you can as to avoid IRS errors.

You will have to file page 2 of the Schedule E on your personal return. You will not have to include Schedule SE with your return.
