How Are Custodians Valuable If They Don't Serve As A Fiduciary For SDIRAs or Solo Ks?
So it seems custodians design out all of the risk that one would expect to get from a company processing stuff and selling advice. How are these folks providing any value if you are relying on their advice for self-directed retirement plans? If you assume the risk for errors or screw-ups what value do they add?
Is there any way to hire an independent adviser (CPA, financial adviser, other, etc.) for a reasonable fee to place the risk of screwing something up with them or their E&O insurer?
