How do I list DBA on a trust deed?

A Friend of mine has agreed to lend me $10,000 for some rehab. He's lending the money from his business, so I'm thinking I would list his name on the trust deed as "Fred Jones, dba Jones Enterprises." The only problem is it's been about 20 years since he created the dba, and can't find the paperwork. If he ever needs to foreclose, will he have any problems filing a foreclosure lawsuite, i.e. being asked to prove the status of Jones Enterprises?  Hope an attorney can chime in here! Thanks.
