Michigan Primary Residence: need a lead license to renovate?

Hey there. I just closed on a 4 plex this past week In MIchigan and moved in for my primary residence. I was getting ready to roll up my sleeves and start some rehab like repainting, tiling, new floors, etc. nothing too crazy. I went to a networking event and one of the house flippers told me I needed a Lead License before I can do any fixes on my home. I thought that sounded strange so I went home and have been looking into it. I haven’t found anything that backs that up though. The closest thing I found was that when you hire a firm to work on your property, they need a Lead license (RRP). Does anyone know what he means? Do I need a license to do basic fixes to my place?
