Blaming ER visit on Black Mold

I have a very finicky townhouse tenant who texted me last night with a demand for a black mold test, indicating that her husband was sick in the ER. I’ve never seen or smelled black mold in the house before or after the recent rehab. I told the tenant I’d be happy to do the test, but I’m nervous of the implications that I’d be responsible for an ER visit. Anyone been through this?

Hopefully, you did an inspection with your tenant before they moved in and they've signed that everything looks fine.  Not saying that will get you out of trouble but it will help as you're building your case if there is black mold.

virtually every rehab homes has black mold in it.. .. we just spray it with Clorox and call it a day.. but I get it .. there are different kinds and I guess the wrong kind can make you sick..

boy you should see some of the homes we go into  IE hoarder homes they look like full blown petre dish's mold of every variety and they seem to be OK.. I guess they have immunities to it.. then you get one little black dot and people freak out..
