Does Renting through a property manager mitigate risk?

Does anybody know if having a PM company manage your property mitigate risk for the owner (individual on the title)?

I am currently a live in landlord, but want to move out and rent full time to tenants. I am struggling with deciding whether or not to start an LLC and try to transfer the title (in an effort to protect my net worth and assets outside or RE) or go about this process a different way.

There does not seem to be any clear and concise information out there about LLC creation/transferring titles, most advice seems to direct investors toward speaking with a Lawyer.

I would love to hear how the community has tackled this challenge, protected their assets, and continued investing in real estate.

Thank you in advance.

I utilize managers for my property groupings in two states to very effectively mitigate operational risks, retain privacy status and avoid all day to day hands on landlord requirements. Risk mitigation is by no means the least of the advantages of professional management (with the emphasis on professional).

By doing it this way, it's my assessment that an encumbering LLC structure is not only unneeded, but also a very inefficient and unnecessarily costly means of holding rental real estate for an individual like myself. I have more than adequate liability insurance coverage for each property, and I don't engage in other inherently risky activities outside my rental real estate business. Therefore where is the need rationale?

LLCs I think have become mostly a personal vanity item, a rather transparent and shallow way to impress the woefully naive, and other uninformed wannabes.

Not to say they are always unnecessary, but I would guess 90 percent of those with them don't really need them anymore than the neighborhood kid needs the inch thick gold plated rope chain  he so "proudly" wears around his neck.
