Colorado Lawyer Referral

Kathy Castrigno
Posted

Hi there,  My husband and I are seeking a lawyer in Colorado to do asset planning and organization.

This would include putting together a trust/will AND corporate creation for rental properties.  Is there a lawyer who is very

dependable and knowledgeable in both areas?  If not what about one or the other.    Always better to

get a referral than to hope they are good!

Thanks so much in Advance!

(I have really started to spend more time on this site and it is amazing!!

I suggest that you find a financial planner who has taxation as a sub speciality.

Thank you Calvin.  Taxation?  I am new to this and not sure if taxation should be my focus.  Not saying you are wrong but want to understand how creating corporate entities and a will are the place of a financial planner.  Pardon my ignorance!

@Kathy Castrigno For entity creation (LLC, S-Corp, Trust) I would suggest talking to an attorney proficient in real estate. There are multiple legal aspects regarding liability and tax that need to be addressed.

That said, a will can be a different matter - an estate planner/attorney would be needed. (sometimes a lawyer can do both)

Hope that helps!

    I appreciate your suggestions Dominic.

Michael, I called William Bronchick and will be putting together an email to see if we are a good fit.
