Can you form an LLC in a state other than the main office state?

I am purchasing a property out of state and will hold title in an LLC. The Certificate of Formation papers ask for the business address. I am curious as to whether or not it is OK to have an out-of-state address entered into this field? Would I need to form a foreign LLC instead? Alternatively, due to the nature of this LLC being tied to only the rental property, should I just use the properties address as the office address? Thanks.

I haven’t owned property in La but other states and as long as you have a physical address that can be served and an agent you should be fine. I have used a mailbox company to meet those requirements in the past.
