Reporting of Owner Finance Interest

Need advise on 2017 income tax return for owner finance property sale .   I sold the property with a 15k gross profit and about 10k interests over 9 years.  Instead of having to file interest income yearly, (next year I may be a non-resident alien, may not be going back to USA), would like pay and to report all gains and interests for tax year 2017.  Is it possible to report unpaid interests as ordinary income or capital gain tax?  Thanks
