Vesting title into entity (LLC/trust) by foreign property owners
Dear members,
my husband and I own a property in South California (3 years now), the title is in our names. We are not US residents or green card holders. We plan to lease the property out this year. Is it too late to transfer it to an LLC or C-Corp before renting and would it trigger FIRPTA in any way?
Also, if you could recommend a reliable consultant on this kind of matter here in SoCal I'd very much appreciate your help!
