Reg agent for an out-of-state LLC in FL

Hello everybody.

I have one rental property in Tampa, FL and looking to buy another one. i want to form an LLC in FL, however, I live in VA. I need a registered agent in FL but want to avoid paying a company to act as my registered agent and don't want to pay UPS store for a mailing address. I was thinking of making one of my rental properties the "agent address" and then putting a provision in the lease agreement that I will have my next tenant sign that requires them to forward any mail that they receive for my LLC to my home address in VA. Any thoughts on doing this?

Thanks!

If the $50 /year agent fee is causing you to cringe don't bother with an llc.

At this stage you probably don't need it and there is much more to pay for than just the agent fee to keep it's records in good standing.
