Best way to hold a single family rental that is free and clear!

Not sure which forum to post this to, but we may be able to pay off our first rental home soon.  We have a handful and we own them all in our personal name as we have mortgages.

For asset protection purposes, when we have this first rental home paid off, how can we best be protected? How should we title it- an LLC? We have landlords and an umbrella policy.

Any ideas?
