Anyone quiet a title themselves without an attorney?
Bought a tax deed sale in Florida and need to quiet the title. Originally I was going to go with a lawyer but the property was only $1,400 and according to the O&E report should be an easy, uncontested case. I'd rather not spend the $1500 in legal fees in addition to court fees on a property that was less than that to purchase. So I am considering quieting the title myself. The steps seem fairly straightforward and I have looked up templates for the legal documents online which also look straightforward. I can always seek legal advice at any point I feel I need counsel. Good idea or bad? Any advice from those who have experience with quieting a title?
