Self Directed IRA Question

Current Situation: I currently have money sitting in a 401K from a prior employer. I also have money with my current employer 401K. I want to open a SD IRA with the prior employer 401K.

The question: If I open a SD IRA and move the old employer 401K funds into a SD IRA, then if I leave my current employer at a future date, can I add those 401K fund to the existing SD IRA?

Thanks,

  Mike
