Can Condo bylaws limit the # of children?

Can Condo bylaws limit the # of children in my rental unit?

We recently bought a 2 bedroom condo, renovated it, and rented to a single mother (and her 3 children).  The Condo Board is now telling us that we have broken the condo bylaws, as they have a rule limiting the maximum # of children to 2 per unit.

Based on our internet research, it seems that if we are within the occupancy, it would be discriminatory for the condo board to restrict the housing based on the age of the residents.  Is that true?

Any advice?

Thank you!
