Just wanted to share this article with everyone, recent law about discriminating against a "class" of criminals, rapists and murderers. no longer can you do a background check for that. what do you think ?

    Well the author and you have misinterpreted what HUD's new guidelines are. HUD has merely ordered that property owners use COMMON SENSE in their screening process. HUD wants you to distinguish between a rapist and someone who shoplifted 20 years ago. HUD wants you to distinguish between someone who assaulted someone and someone who smokes a little bit of marijuana. As we can see from everyone's reaction to the new HUD guidelines, we can see that HUD is absolutely correct to worry about landlords using common sense since no one is using any in reading the HUD guidelines.
