Whats the percentage of closings after contract?

Im really interested in buying a property, single family 3 bed 2 bath foreclosere. I just found out that the house its under contract so i know about contingencies but from your experience whats the chance of the contract falling apart and me putting it under contract?

Absolutely no way to tell. But percentage wise, maybe 20-30%? Assuming it's not some wholesaler yahoo, of course. You can always put in a back up offer, and as it's an REO they'd be more likely to go straight to the back up if the first one falls apart. Are you paying cash, or do you have a solid preapprova?
