Sole proprietor changing to a partnership
HI. I'm trying to decide on how the cost & profits should be split between partners after I have already invested so much in the first year + I am the creater & operator of my natural hair braiding and dreadlock salon. I work so hard alone & have a huge & consistently growing clientele. I have plans to create a retail African/Caribbean import store inside my salon which the space has been built but haven't had a chance to stock the merchandise in it yet while I'm too busy servicing clients. I now need to have a surgery & will be out of work for a while which has pushed me to taking on a partnership with my business. After surgery, I will be slowing down tremendously & will leave my clientele to my new partner & another braider I've hired. What would be an ideal percentage split going forward into giving clientele and the management & development of the store. I'm trying to be reasonable while I have built it up to this point but she will be running it for the future growth
