Domain names are like virtual land and building a website on it is like building a virtual house.

Have you ever spent more than the traditional $11.99 for your domain name on godaddy? Anyone spend in the hundreds or even thousands for a specific domain name?

I know someone who owns a publishing company who purchased a domain name for $73k.  This isn't a guy who works in corporate America.  He was a school teacher, who created a publishing company out of his basement.  Fast forward ten years, and he is no longer a teacher.  He is rolling out a new system that he expects a 20 million dollar return on.  He swears the key was having the right name, so he pulled the trigger on it.
