LAND TRUST opposed by LA County tax Assessor

Do you know anyone who has mastered the correct use of the Land Trust to shield owner identity from property records? It appears that the LA County Tax Assessor doesn't recognize the Land Trust and in fact says it triggers a "change in ownership" that triggers a property re-assessment.
