Does land contracts/owner financing qualify for tax free gain?

Does anyone know with certainty whether or not selling a home on a land contract/owner financing would qualify for the tax free gain. Meaning the equity/principal and not the interest. Whether it be in installments or a lump sum, lets say in 5 years or so. This is assuming one lived in the home for 2 out of the five years necessary etc.

Thanks,
