LLC Name Change
First post here, awesome sight,
I am interested in investing in the rental property business.
I have used some tools from this sight and other internet research to form an LLC.
I dont like the name that I used for the LLC, basically I used my last name enterprises LLC.
I want to change that to something that actually has to do with the business of rental property. It seems to me now that the name that I chose really sounds like a huge business, and has nothing to do with the rental property business.
I live in Houston, Texas, and I also got a tax ID number under the same name as my LLC, but I put DBA, which is the name that I want to use for the business.
So Basically I want to change the name of my LLC and the name of the business on my Tax ID information for the state of TX, is this possible to do, now that it is already formed?
Current name of business
Darby Enterprises LLC
What I want the name to be
Darby Home buyers and Rentals
I also read that you have to have a tax id number for each LLC that you form in the state of Texas?
I am just a little confused on the entire deal, as my CPA, didnt say a word about having to setup a Tax ID number for each LLC.
I want to have the business recognized as home buyers and rentals and not enterprises, but now that I have that on all the legal forms, I must use that name for business cards, checking accounts, ect.
Is there anyway to change this in the state of Texas
Thanks for any help that I can get,
Love the site and will be a long time member
Have a great week everyone
