Re-appraisal

Hi BP'ers

I am closing on my third property (wohoo!) this week and the house has appraised for enough but I have a question. I received an original appraisal for 95K on prop I payed 72900 on, so I was excited about the deal. 2 weeks later I received another appraisal from the same company, dated the same as the original, but now for...you guessed it, 72900. Ive tried numerous times and ways to contact the appraiser but they havent returned any calls or emails and the bank says they arent legally allowed to speak with them.

That said the house did appraise for the cost I negotiated but I just feel like something fishy is going on.

Any insight or future surprises I should be concerned about here?

Thanks

Mark
