Buyer Opting Out
I'm selling a house and it's under contract. The buyer says they want to opt out but they never paid the option fee. The contract states they must pay the option fee within 3 days of execution or the option paragraph is not part of the contract. I pointed this out and they sent an email that says, "Can you provide the termination contract in parallel? Also, can you send us the contract and amendment for reference?" I'm not sure what that even means. Do I need to get a lawyer at this point? Thanks for any help you can offer!
