SCOTUS, gay marriage, and dower rights.

With the recent ruling by SCOTUS regarding gay marriage, I wonder what will happen in States (as Michigan) which have long established dower rights? Do both partners get dower rights or neither? Must the partner with the dower rights be specified when a property is purchased?
