Terminating Property Manager

My uncle owns a SFR in NC. He hired a PM to handle that property since April 2013. Recently, the tenant of that property lost his job and told PM that he will move out by end of this month since he can't pay his rent anymore (the tenant basically violated one year contract and they are keeping his security deposit). My uncle is not very happy with the way PM has been handling the business so he is trying to let PM go and self-manage the property by himself until he can find better PM. In the contract, it states:

"It shall be effective on April, 2013 and shall be for an initial term of 1 year. This agreement shall automatically renew for successive terms of 1 year each unless either party gives the other party written notice of its desire to terminate this agreement at least 60 days prior to the conclusion of any such renewal term, in which case this agreement shall terminate at the conclusion of such term"

If my uncle decides to terminate his PM because the current tenant is moving out prematurely, is this violation of the contract? Notice that the contract got renew automatically on April 2014, so new contract extended to April 2015.

I understand that this is a legal document, and my uncle should seek an attorney before making any decision but I want to hear your opinion.
