Getting Started in the New Orleans area

Hello,

I am in the process of getting everything together to start my restate investing and rehabbing business around the New Orleans area. I could use some guidence around putting together my LLC. Is leagal zoom a good route to use to accomplish this? Also, being that I will own the business alone, do I need to get a federal or state tax ID? I thought that read that I would only need a city and state tax ID. I hope I am being clear in my questions.
