Reasonable expectations - Need some help understanding taxes

I've been working hard on my business (even though I am not yet in the business). My plan is to start working the business in earnest starting in 2015. I know that some would prefer me to spend my time getting deals. I'm taking the contrarian view of setting everything up now, while I still have the time. Once I start this thing, I want to get to full-time as quickly as possible

My real question is around expectations.

Hypothetical goals for 2015 (simply to help the discussion).

Sell and rehabilitate three homes, earning $60,000 total after all direct costs.

Wholesale four properties, earning $20,000 after all direct costs.

Spend $10,000 on direct mail marketing.

Hire at least one VA spending about $3,000 on their services.

Spend about $5,000 on "other" expenses like web site, cards, office equipment, lawyers, etc.

Have my spouse run a lot of the day-to-day, spending about 20 hours a week on the business. I continue my 9-5 (actually 7-4) job and work nights and weekends on the biz.

So Net Income is $62,000.

1) I know you know nothing about my market or my personal makeup, but does this sound somewhat reasonable considering I have yet to start marketing? I think this is challenging but stretch goals are good by me.

2) What kind of hit can I expect from the tax man? (I know you are not attorneys or CPAs, just give me ideas)...

3) Will I be allowed to deduct the reasonable expenses associated with the business (like marketing, VA, "other", mileage, etc)?

4) What haven't I considered yet?

I have no problem doing extra research... if you'll point me in the right direction, I would really apprciate it.
