LLC, when should it be done?

Should we create our LLC before we buy our first investment property? Or can we create it after and then establish the investment as part of the LLC.

Hi Anna,

This is a personal opinion and you'll have to come up with your own. My opinion is that too many investors rush out and form an LLC too early.

You can always establish the LLC later and then transfer the title to the LLC. My recommendation would be, don't pay to form it and pay all of the fees associated with it until you need it.

Again, just my opinion and I'm sure others will disagree. That's okay. Again, you need to decide what's best for you.

Eric
