Selling Real Estate while working in property management
I work at a property management firm, but I don't do the management side of things. I do market research from the main office and handle project management for renovations.
I'm almost done with my real estate license, and my questions is, can I hang my license with another firm that only deals in brokerage, or do I need to hang it with my current company?
My current company only deals in large, multifamily properties, and I'm planning to use my license to purchase single-family homes for myself, and handle brokerage for family members and friends.
Since I'm not involved with brokerage or any sort of on-site management with my current company, am I legally allowed to to brokerage with a different firm?
