How to Charge for Utilities
Hi all,
I am renting out two rooms in my home and wondering how to split the utilities. The easiest way seems to be a flat $100 fee for both tenants per month. The other way, would be to split the utilities 3 ways every month. However, I believe I have read somewhere that these two options are treated differently for tax purposes? Any advice?
Thanks!
