Looking for attorney and tax advisor to help develop plan to address and resolve any outstanding tax debts. Also to navigate the legal aspects of purchasing a foreclosed home and resolving any tax relating issues. Maybe negotiate with tax authorities on behalf to potentially reduce or settle amount owed on properties. Also to conduct thorough research on the property to identify potential risks or issues like outstanding liens, etc.

I’m considering buying some foreclosed homes with back taxes

1. Jurisdictions will not negotiate back taxes. If it was violations due to grass cutting etc those can be negotiated. Taxes I have never seen or e

Heard of them getting negotiated

2. Sounds like you need a title company to pull a title search for you to review. That would solve all the other questions

An attorney can tell you what open liens you will be required to pay after they see the title report

Do title companies charge for a title search?

Yes. To get done what you want done, order a title search and have an attorney review it assume you will spend $500 for each property.
