Looking for a San Diego Tax Professional

Aram Albaro
Posted

Anyone have recommendations for a CPA, Tax preparer, and Tax Strategies in the Greater San Diego area. I think our taxes are getting more complicated but not overly complicated. Looking for some direction.

-Multi State income (AZ & CA)

-Long Term Rentals in AZ

-Primary Residence in CA

-Stocks

Everyone talks about cost segregation studies work for business owners and real estate professionals. But does it make sense doing it if I am neither? If it does, who do you recommend and what should I look out for?

@Aram Albaro - Cost segs can definitely help even if you aren't a business owner or RE professional. If your property is a cashflow cow or you plan to hold it forever it may still benefit you greatly.

Make sure to vet the company you choose. Some are fairly new, charging a lot, and not as reputable. There are DIY options as well. Either way, don't let someone sell you needing to get it done before year end. You have until the filing due date including extensions.
