Im in NJ purchasing in FL. Where do i open LLC?
First off I apologize if I posted this in the wrong category. I am purchasing a condo in Florida and have to by the end of the year. I am located in New Jersey I do not plan on renting this condo out but I do want to put it under my LLC.
Should I open an LLC in Florida or should I open up in New Jersey? any tax benefits? From a legal standpoint is a better to open in Florida or NJ.
In New Jersey I can get all the LLC information documents within 48 hours I know in Florida it takes a little bit so I probably won't have the documents on time but then I could transfer from my personal name to the LLC if needed .
I appreciate everybody’s help

I feel I have to CYA and say "This is not legal advice. I'm not an attorney.". Opening an LLC in FL is very, very easy.
Go to: https://dos.fl.gov/sunbiz/start-business/efile/fl-llc/ , follow the instructions, and pay your fees. You'll file our Articles through this process and you can also nab your Certificate of Standing.
Then head over to: https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employe... to get your Tax ID/EIN.
You can have an attorney do your Operating Agreement or you can simply use an on-line service such as Legal Zoom or Law Depot to do it if your doing a Single-Member LLC. I would also make sure you add language saying who gets the LLC if you pass away or are incompacitated.
Note: As a resident of a State other than FL, you might have to designate a "Registered Agent", but I am not completely sure.
It's really that simple. I don't know the NJ process, but that's how you do it in FL. You can knock it out in an hour. Good luck!
