Real Estate LLC TEXAS Community Property state
Hello -- I wanted to know when forming a member managed Domestic LLC in texas . --- Primary reason for the LLC is for a layer of protection from personal assets.
1. Does the husbad AND wife have to be members of the LLC? -- Or can the wife be added on via the operating aggrement as a 50% member
2. In order to get a " layer of protection" do we NEED to file the LLC which will hold the property as a separate return or does having the property in an LLC protect personal assets even if we continue to file the activities of the LLC on our Individual Tax Return?
