Investing in the USA with Friends from UK

Hey everyone,

A close friend and I are interested in purchasing investment properties in the US, I'm a citizen and have a rental property in the US currently. They are self managed, i have never taken on partners but are looking to expand. My longtime friend from the UK has always been interested in investing in the US. We would be financing but not quite sure how that would work since he is not a citizen, also what would be our tax situation? do we create an LLC or other type of filing?

Any suggestions or answers are welcomed here, Thank you in advance!
