For REPS, does wife have to be owner or on LLC?

We just acquired an apartment complex which will put us at 32 doors. We believe my wife will qualify for REPS at least next year if not this year. When we started, LLC was in just my name, as well as loans with bank, etc. Does my wife need to be on the LLC to qualify as REPS? Our CPA says she needs to be 100% the owner herself. Is this correct? Or can we be joint owners and on the LLC together?
