Hey everyone -

My CPA recommended an automated bookkeeping service called Uplinq. Has anyone used it? Pros & cons?

Is your CPA real estate focused and has he/she recommended this software to other clients? If yes, you may want to see if you can speak with one of them(if possible) to see their satisfaction/experience with the software.

I took a look at the uniqlo website and it doesn't mention how they help specific industries such as real estate.

Below are some of the issues that I find in bookkeeping when it comes to real estate investors that I think would be hard to 'automate'.

1. How will the software book the purchase of real estate(handling the earnest deposit and all the transactions that occur at the time of purchase).
2. How will the software handle receipt and payments to/from the property management company. Normally, the bank account will see one payment to/from the PM of which there is additional detail in the PM statement.
3. How will it handle depreciation
4. How will it handle Mortgage payments where there is a breakout of principal, interest and escrow(Taxes/Insurance)

Please tell me how the software goes if you start to use it.
