Short term rental loophole (long term back to short term)
Hello,
I currently have a long term rental that I was thinking of converting into a short term rental. My question is am I able to take advantage of the short term rental tax loophole when I convert a long term rental into a short term? Would I be able to take advantage of a cost segregation study?
Thank you,
Clinton

Ignoring other previous use issues, not if your avg day is not less than 7 days. If you are converting this late, it will meet the requirements anyway.
