For tax purposes, am I considered a Real Estate Professional?

For the past year, I’ve worked full-time as a licensed multifamily investment sales agent. It’s worth noting that I am an independent contractor as well. Would I qualify as a Real Estate Professional for tax purposes? So far this year, I’ve earned $150K as an agent, which increase to $180K by year end.

I recently invested $25K in a real estate syndication which will likely produce passive tax losses. I’m curious to know if those losses can can be used to offset my 1099 income that I earned as an agent.
