Lost great deal - appraisal didnt get back in time - any options?

Hi BPs,

We had an awesome triplex deal we were in escrow for. Paid for inspections and the appraisal, etc. Inspections came out great but we noticed actual numerical errors on the appraisal report and it was missing many recent important local comps. The Large bank agreed and said they would redo the appraisal as a result. Its been over 2 months and we've still never received this revised appraisal report.

Our financing window closed while we've been waiting for the updated appraisal and the seller did not want to extend as they had extended many times already waiting on this bank. And now we've officially lost this deal all because of this bank and its errors.

Do we have any options to get back what we lost from this bank? We lost so much time, money, opportunities during these last 3 months while we waited. Interest rates have changed drastically too. Is there a plausible legal case here to sue and try to get back what we lost?

any tips/help would be appreciated!

Kim
